Choosing

I love writing these, but there’s a very unequal distribution of readers between this and New Futures, so I am considering just coalescing the two sides of my site – It would make life a little easier for me. But my mind is really different writing these. I’m primarily an author and secondarily a coach – a strange split personality. Now I can simply choose, but I’d like to hear from you. Do you have a preference?

Picking the topic ‘Choosing” brings up a raft of thoughts about what choosing is to us, how it gets confused with deciding, how rarely I think I choose, not recognizing it when I do, wondering how you know…

Choosing is knowing that the consequences are irrelevant. Isn’t that strange? But that’s the definition that I know. And when I look at my life, it’s the only definition that makes sense. Because the consequences are not up to fate, they’re up to me… and over time they work out. Besides, who knows what would have happened if I chose the other way? I do. I would have made that work out as well.
